Lunar New Year Festival
Join us on Saturday 30 January from 4pm at Bankstown Plaza where lanterns will light the street for New Year!
Lunar New Year Dragon
The event will see Saigon Place transformed into an exciting, loud and colourful arena of music and festivities to celebrate the year of the monkey.

All of the traditional elements will be there including lion dances, lucky envelopes given by the God of Good Fortune, New Year flower making and the annual eating competition.
Non-stop stage entertainment will reflect the diversity of our community with a range of multicultural performances scheduled to appear. There will also be an appearance by Golden Bamboo, which will entertain audiences using traditional musical instruments made of stone, and ballet dancers from the CASS Academy of Arts. Children will enjoy the magic shows, face-painting and hands-on activities.

The festival will also showcase Bankstown CBD's diverse shopping precinct with patrons spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants, cafes, fresh food outlets and a variety of stalls selling traditional food and flowers.

The Bankstown Lunar New Year Festival has something for everyone, so join us in Saigon Place, Bankstown City Plaza on Saturday 30 January from 4pm for a fabulous family evening out.

Thank you to our sponsors: Bankstown Sports, Bankstown RSL, TVBA and the Australian Vietnamese Volunteers Association.
