Come and join us on Australia Day, Saturday 26 January, at Garrison Point, Georges Hall for a free day of non-stop entertainment and activities for all the family. Council has been staging Australia Day celebrations for the last 25 years and this one is going to be big! A FREE five-hour concert featuring some of Australia’s hottest acts including Shannon Noll, The Enormous Horns, Kookies N Kream, Marvin Priest and our own Talent Advancement Program (TAP) vocalists. The kids are not forgotten, with Franky Valentyn’s award-winning children’s show and a fun-filled Kids Corner with magic shows, facepainting and more. There will be amusement rides for all ages and they are all FREE! There are Australiana Displays, food stalls and a fabulous fireworks finale to end the night of celebration, so why go anywhere else? There is free parking within walking distance of the celebrations or you can catch the free shuttle from designated parking areas.
