About Midnight Basketball

Midnight Basketball is a free program that provides young people in Bankstown with the opportunity to develop their basketball skills,
make new friends and have a safe enjoyable activity to participate in on Saturday nights.

The Midnight Basketball Program is a collaborative effort between Bankstown City Council and Midnight Basketball.
The assistance of local services and volunteers has been crucial to the program and Council acknowledges the valuable
support provided by Youth Off the Streets, Breakthru People Solutions, HopePoint Church, Georges Hall, Coolaburoo
Neighbourhood Centre, Greenacre Area Community Centre, Bankstown City and Greenacre YMCA, Bankstown Sports Club and
Revesby Workers Club.

The free program is open to boys and girls aged between 12 and 18 years who reside in the Bankstown LGA. In addition to the
games players also receive a nutritious meal and a safe bus ride home . As part of this program there are a range of compulsory workshops focusing on essential life skill topics such as: health and wellbeing; conflict resolution; communication and decision making; cultural development and awareness; and community engagement skills.
