The public library is free for anyone who lives, works, visits, goes to school or owns land in the Bankstown area. Libraries don't just offer books. All our libraries have free Internet access, free WiFi Hotspot, DVDs, a great music collection toborrow and to download free, and a wide selection of magazines, books and newspapers.

Justices of the Peace (JP)
The Library has volunteers scheduled for residents to access NSW Registered Justices of the Peace.  If the times we have arranged are not convenient to you please use the Attorney General's Lawlink site  to find another Justice of the Peace.

Your local library has fiction and non-fiction or fact books, DVDs and videos, music CDs, graphic novels and picture books, magazines and a wide range of HSC guides, literacy kits and community language books, large print, talking books and downloadable eAudio titles.  For more information please give us a call on 9707 9708.

The Library offers free email alerts for reminders when loans are due back, overdue reminders and holds ready for pickup. Email alerts can be setup for the whole family to the email address of your choice. Just set up your account here to join the Library Elf service.

The Library offers the eAudio Bookshelf for library members who want to download digital audiobooks anytime, anywhere. Listen to your favourite books once you download to any MP3 player or your own computer. Start browsing the eAudio collection.

Your local library also has many free programs and services for everyone including our Community Language collections in Arabic, Chinese and Vietnamese.  We can obtain other collections from the State Library of New South Wales through their community language loans service.

If you require information for an assignment or project, it is useful if you can bring your questions with you. We can find information from other libraries if we don't have what you are looking for in our collections.
