Waste and Recycling Services
|
|
Don't let your rubbish become their world tomorrow, recycle and reduce waste, because you make their world
Council has been successfully using the three bin coloured system for domestic services since 1999.
The three-bin service includes
- Red lidded bin for household rubbish
- Yellow lidded bin for recycling
- Green lidded bin for garden waste
In 2008, 46.5% of the household waste collected via the three bin system was recovered for recycling and not sent to landfill. This demonstrates that the system is successful in Bankstown Local Government Area.
