Council's 'Sport A Month' program runs throughout the year and features a different sport every calendar month. The program is designed to encourage residents of all ages and abilities to have a go at something new, and be physically active.
'Sport A Month' was developed as part of the Active Bankstown strategy.
Since 2005, when the program was developed, over 7,000 people have participated, and in 2007 'Sport A Month' received a highly commended recognition award from The NSW Heart Foundation.

Come and Try Judo in April
Throughout the month of April you can 'Come and Try' Judo, free of charge, as part of Sport A Month.
Kugatsu Judo club are offering a number of different sessions in the month, at The Dunc Gray Velodrome, off Carysfield Road, Bass Hill.

Join in Baton Twirling in May
Bankstown City Council has teamed up with the All Stars Baton Twirlers to give you the opportunity to have a go at baton twirling in the month of May.
Come along and try something new. It's free of charge, and everyone who registers, and takes part in a 'Come and Try' baton twirling session in May will receive a free Active Bankstown gift.

Have a go at Cricket in June
Bankstown District Criket Association, Cricket NSW and Bankstown City Council are giving people the opportunity to have a go at cricket in the month of June, completely free of charge.
Sessions are available at Bankstown Memorial Oval on Sunday 7th and 21st June, for people aged from 5 to 16 years old.
