The highest quality community services are available to Bankstown residents such as health care, social welfare, libraries, child and aged care, waste disposal and much more.
Council's annual Community Grants Program contributes to many independent service providers around Bankstown City. In the 2004/2005 financial year, Council provided over $400,000 to fund projects initiated by local community groups.
Children and parents enjoy a host of new and improved playgrounds in parks across the community. Using the latest solar and energy efficient technology, in 2002 Council also heated the 50 metre outdoor pool at the Revesby Swim Centre, marking the completion of stage one of our four year Pools Improvement Program.
Council's Waste Service continues to be acknowledged as a leader in source separation and recycling.
