Public Transport

While Council has no direct responsibility for public transport, its importance to the Bankstown Community resulted in the adoption of a Public Transport Improvement Plan in November 2001. This Plan confirms Council's commitment to:

"… fulfilling its roles in supporting services with the ultimate aim of improving access and reducing use of motor vehicles to improve the environment and community health and amenity."

If you would like a copy of the Public Transport Improvement Plan, please call Council on (02) 9707 9999.

Visit the Department of Transport website to view the Action for Transport 2010 - an Integrated Transport Plan.
