Public Health

Council's strategic objective is that all food premises (approximately 900) and regulated premises (approximately 200) including hairdressers, beauticians, skin penetration establishments (tattoos and body piercing), public pools/spas and commercial cooling towers are operated in a manner that complies with public health standards.

Council officers respond, investigate and initiate action in response to complaints relating to public health issues including accumulated refuse, unsightly and unhealthy premises, pollution (noise, water and air) incidents and general nuisance related complaints. It is suggested that where possible you should approach your neighbour causing the nuisance with a view to an amicable solution.
