Mobility (Disabled) Parking
To obtain a Mobility (Disabled) Parking Permit, applications must be lodged with the Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA). Follow the links on the RTA website to view the information brochure to see whether you are eligible and fill out the application form.
Parking Fines
If you have received an infringement notice or parking ticket from a Bankstown City Council Ranger and you wish to pay or dispute the fine, you will need to contact the State Debt Recovery Office directly, either by phone or in writing.
Please refer to the State Debt Recovery Office website for further information.
Bankstown City Council is not able to negotiate the payment or cancellation of fines.
Parking Fine Fees as at 1 July 2007
- No Stopping $185
- Bus Zone $185
- No Parking $79
- Childrens Crossing (school zone) $318 + 2 demerit points
- Pedestrian Crossing $238 + 2 demerit points
- Double Park $185
- Loading zones $132
Increased fines and demerit points apply for offences when committed in a school zone.

Resident Parking Schemes
Bankstown City Council does not operate any resident parking schemes.
The main objectives of such schemes are to address local amenity in areas where parking is not accessible off-site. These areas tend to be inner city areas where there is often not off-street parking, or only one space.
