Library

Bankstown was one of the first Metropolitan Councils to establish a free public library, with the opening of a children's library in 1946. Today Bankstown City Library and Information Service is one of the largest public libraries in Sydney. It includes the Central Library, located in Bankstown CBD, and four branch libraries at Chester Hill, Greenacre, Padstow and Panania. View opening hours and street addresses.

Visit your local library to surf the Internet for free, read a magazine or newspaper, research your family history, attend children's activities, borrow DVDs, music, videos or books and much, much more.
