HSC Resources and useful links

  HSC resources are available at all Bankstown libraries.These resources include HSC subject and study guides:

  • Dot Point
  • Excel
  • Leading Edge
  • Macquarie
  • Success One
  • DVD's and videos
  • English drama text guides, including Get Smart, Spark Notes and Top Notes 

Some items are kept in closed reserve and a current library membership is required to access them for up to 2 hours in the library.

Please ask the staff for assistance if required or check the library catalogue.


 HSC Events

Looking for HSC help and tips? This year Bankstown City Libraries are offering a number of sessions for HSC students conducted by qualified teachers on a number of subjects.

Tickets for each session are $3. Bookings are essential as places are limited. Please phone 9707 9711 to book your place or ask at your local library.

 My Study Space

HSC students looking for a quiet place to study, will be able to take advantage of MyStudyspace @ your library.

Chester Hill, Padstow, Panania and Greenacre libraries will be open 5pm til 8 pm every Wednesday in October specifically for HSC students providing them with a quiet place to study and opportunity for group study.

Panania library will also open Wednesday evenings in August 5pm til 8pm.

Online Resources

YourTutor - web-based online tutoring service for help with Maths, Science, General English, Research and Study skills. Students participate in a live one to one  individual learning session with the tutor using the online classroom. Available 4.00pm -8.00pm during school terms, from the library or home.

Board of Studies -  provides access to HSC syllabuses and support documents, issues documents, information about HSC resources and textbooks, course description files, rules on procedures for exam candidates, past HSC papers, marking guidelines, assessment information and exam timetables.

NSW Students Online - gives you instant access to the latest news about the HSC from the Board of Studies, including selected links to your own HSC courses.

NSW HSC Online - a Charles Sturt University initiative, this site includes resources and essays in subject areas relating to the HSC.

OTEN - Open Training and Education Network (OTEN) offers distance education programs to help you study away from campus. OTEN courses are delivered by a range of media, such as printed lesson notes, online, satellite broadcasts, videos, audio cassettes and electronic mail.

TAFE NSW - is Australia's largest training provider, and it is among the largest in the world.

HSC/TAFE credit transfer - This site is designed to assist secondary school students in course selection for the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) in order to maximise credit transfer into TAFE NSW courses. This site also provides useful information to school leavers about credit transfer opportunities in TAFE NSW courses.

TAFE NSW / Universities credit transfer -This website has been developed by TAFE NSW to give you information about credit transfer and articulation in vocational education and training (VET) and higher education.
