• a Major Centre - the Bankstown CBD
• a Specialised Centre at Bankstown Airport- Milperra
• a Strategic Employment Corridor being the employment land immediately surrounding and accessing the M5 Motorway
• more than ten commercial shopping-service centres and six established industrial employment centres
