Disability

Bankstown City Council offers services for people with a disability such as Meals on Wheels and Library Outreach.

Council works closely with local disability-related organisations and coordinates the Disability Expo and International Day of People with a Disability.

Council is a member of the South West Sydney Ageing and Disability Forum Executive Committee and collaborates with the community on various other projects and committees.

Council's Disability Advisory Committee meets quarterly and holds a Disability Issues Forum twice a year.
 
Disability Issues Forum- August 14, 9.30 am to 11.30 am, Blue Hall, Chester Hill Community Centre, 25 Chester Hill Rd, Chester Hill. 

Guest speaker will be presenting on "Young People and Dual Diagnosis" from a mental health perspective.  Anyone with a disability, family members, carers, disability service providers, support group members, and interested members of the public from the Bankstown local areas are welcome.
