The Bankstown City Community Information Directory is now a comprehensive online database that provides information about community services, organisations, groups and events in the local area. |
The Community Directory forms part of LINCS - the Local Information Network for Community Services. |
There are two ways to access Community Information for the Bankstown local area. The LINCS online community information database and the annual printed directory "Information 09".
The LINCS Online Community Information Directory is a database that is updated in real time and, therefore, contains the most up-to-date information. It is more current that the printed directory, and includes more information about each organisation.
When a search for local services in the online Community Information Directory is unsuccessful, the database automatically broadens the search to the entire Sydney region and locates the nearest matches.

What is LINCS?
LINCS (Local Information Network for Community Services) is an online community information directory provided by a partnership of more than 30 local councils, State Government departments and community organisations.
How can my community organisation be listed?
Just click on the button below to send us a request if you know of any services not listed. To have your group listed is free, but Council has the right to include or exclude your submission. Once the information is entered into LINCS, it will appear in the directory on Bankstown City Council's Website, and other Council websites throughout the Sydney Metropolitan area, and may be included in our annual printed directory.

My organisation's details have changed. How do I update our listing?
Simply click on the link at the bottom of your entry in the LINCS Community Directory to notify us of any errors in the information and update your details.
