Bankstown City Council is inviting enrolments for the Bankstown Swim School program at Birrong, Revesby and Wran Leisure Centres.
Council proudly owns and manages four Leisure Centres with enrolments for term 4 opening on Monday 19 September 2011. New enrolments can be made at any time during the term.
"Swimming is one of the most valuable skills anyone can learn, and here in Bankstown, Council is committed to ensuring we provide our residents with the best swimming programs," said the Mayor of Bankstown Clr Khal Asfour.
"Council's swim school program combines water safety education with a range of swimming development classes, in a fun and safe environment.
"I encourage our local residents to come down to one of our Leisure Centres to have a look and find out more about our fantastic swim school program.
"The program caters for all ages and abilities from 6 months of age right through to adult classes, and provides great program options in different locations to suit your child's individual requirements," Mayor Asfour said.
Council's swim school program is a registered Austswim program complete with fully qualified and experienced instructors and is run within the comfort of a quality indoor pool environment.
Each lesson costs $13 per child and includes pool entry. A discount is also offered for additional children as an affordable option for families.
The program runs in conjunction with the NSW school terms and residents should enrol early to secure a place. Holiday intensive programs are also available during the regular terms and are a great way of fast tracking progress.
