Bankstown City Council is holding an introductory computer class for Chinese seniors on Wednesday (5 September) from 9:30am to 11:30am on the ground floor at 62 The Mall, Bankstown.
Mayor Khal Asfour said Council is eager to help Chinese seniors enjoy the many benefits the internet has to offer, such as video conferencing and emailing family and friends overseas.
“Avoiding queues at the bank and post office by paying bills and banking online is another great benefit,” Mayor Asfour said.
“Mandarin and Cantonese speaking volunteers will guide participants in how to use the computer and navigate the world-wide web."
“There will be plenty of support available on the day and a morning tea will be provided as well."
“This is also a great opportunity for Chinese seniors to socialise with their peers and make new friends.”
To make your booking please call 9707 9708. There is a $3.50 booking fee that can be paid on the day.
