Bankstown’s students can look forward to a ‘cool’ winter school holidays (2-13 July) jampackedwith exciting programs and activities.
Mayor of Bankstown, Councillor Khal Asfour, said Bankstown Arts Centre and the city’s five libraries will have movies, painting, drawing, acting, singing, photography, drama, craft activities and much more.
“Chester Hill Community Centre will be further spoiling our children for choice with cooking and games activities under the themes ‘Outer Space’, ‘Winter Wonderland’ and ‘Hollywood’,” Mayor Asfour said.
"Parents often struggle to find things for their kids to do with their time off, so these programs will provide some welcome relief for them.”
Mayor Asfour said Council is also encouraging students aged 12-18 years to consider volunteering for the Graffiti Clean-Up and Meals On Wheels Program during the holidays.
“I am proud of the community spirit shown by Bankstown’s youth and I hope to see even more of them lend a helping hand to our community these holidays”, Mayor Asfour said.
