Bankstown City Council’s Arts/Cultural Grants Program provides upto $7500 in financial support to individuals and local community-based organisations for cultural activities, festivals and other forms of expression.
The program fosters a strong sense of local identity, distinctiveness and community spirit, in accordance with the directions of Council's Strategic Plan - Cityplan, and Cultural Plan 2002-2005.
- To promote and celebrate the unique character and cultural diversity of Bankstown
- To assist the development and delivery of appropriate projects/programs meeting the city’s cultural needs. Innovative proposals are encouraged
- To encourage community participation in the development and delivery of arts, placemaking and other cultural programs
- To facilitate community access to cultural activities and programs.
