Mayor’s Women’s Cricket Development Fund
1 July 2009 - 30 June 2010
Women’s cricket is growing in popularity across Australia and efforts are being made across the industry to support its development and encourage the sporting public to enjoy women’s cricket.
It is only through community-wide support that more young women will be given the opportunity to pursue cricket as a sport.
In recognition of Bankstown Council’s commitment to cricket and the 2009 Women’s Cricket World Cup, the Mayor of Bankstown has established 12-month assistance fund of $5,000 towards assisting ten (10) high school-aged female cricketers who would benefit from a $500 cash grant.
Eligibility - Must be a resident of the Bankstown Local Government Area; or play cricket for a registered club/association within the Bankstown Local Government Area.
Must be enrolled in high school within the grant period (1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010).
Must be using the grant funds towards furthering their cricketing career to attend an out-of-area match or to attend a selection trail.
*This grant will close once all funds have been dispersed. If you believe you meet the eligibility criteria, please download and complete this application form and return it to Bankstown |
